So recently I noticed that I've been spending a lot of time in north Seattle - 'specially Green Lake, Fremont, and Wallingford. This means I've been spending more time off of the Hill. Capitol Hill, that is. I think that in the 8 or so years I've been bumming around Broadway, the sheen has finally worn off. It barely even feels like part of Seattle, and more like an extention of some prefab town done up for an MTV series.
I've been returning to my roots in a way, going back and spending time in the places that I messed around at when I was a kid. I realized I still like it up there, despite the development and yuppies. If I don't do the transnational move I've been considering, I might go back. Maybe not. I like living downtown. It's conveinient to everywhere. But I've found enough bars I like in Wallingford, and that, of course, is the ultimate factor for me in deciding where I'll live :)
