Sturm und drang.

I've never been a huge Joy Division fan (mainly because i couldn't stand Ian Curtis' voice...I always liked the music itself), but I bought Substance this weekend, and I've decided that "Love Will Tear Us Apart" will be my theme song for a little while. I think I want to cover it. But then I'd probably ruin it. I have the bass part down pretty well now, though.

They've been running ads on ABC for a made-for-TV-movie about Anne Frank. It looks pretty trashy. I've never read The Diary of Anne Frank, but I feel like I probably should. I've had this fascination with Judaism for a few years...it's fallen by the wayside as of late, but it's still intriguing for me.

Have any of you read Night by Elie Wiesel? That is easily one of the most powerful and moving books I have ever read, regarding the Holocaust or not.

The Easy Cure

I don't care what anyone says. The Cure's Wish is a fantastic album. Maybe it's because it was the soundtrack to my first real relationship ever, so many years ago. But dammit, it's a good record. I consider it to have been made by a completely different band than that which made Boys Don't Cry, my other favorite Cure record.
