I feel dirty

Agh. I was enjoying KEXP on my way to work, and the last set was stellar - Blonde Redhead, Radiohead, Cat Power...the 1st song in the set I didn't recognize, but it was pretty rockin'. I thought, "Wow, I wanna know what this is."

Turns out it was those bastians of hipster cred, your friends and (not) mine (cuz I'm not cool enough), the Murder fuckin' City Devils.

Feh.

As soon as I finish figuring out the Lionel Ritchie song, I think I want to do Tom Waits' "Cold Cold Ground". At least I can sorta sing like Tom. Sorta. I'd have to combine my Yoda/Louis Armstrong voice with my Calvin "Suup-errrr Duuubbbb Narrrr-caaaatic" Johnson voice.

We'll see.

Everybody's jumping everybody else's train

The grrrl is comin' ta git me in about an hour...she's ready to do it now, but I can't leave work yet...I probably shouldn't even leave at 4:00, but whatevski. I have 9 more retrieval requests to enter into the system. Then we's all good to go watch The Wolves (with Maceo Parker & Olu Dara) at the Pier.

Er, that'd be Los Lobos for you Espanol speakers out there.

I wonder if Olu Dara will bring his son out on stage for a cameo? (His son being the critically-acclaimed MC Nas.)

I just hope it doesn't rain. At least not too much. I brought an umbrella with me, which as a native here, I am almost embarrased to have (Seattleites don't use umbrellas, thank. you. very. much. :)
