I walked around Green Lake last night, right at sunset. It was gorgeous. I felt like I was doing something good for myself too. But now my legs are sore.

Afterward I stopped into Leny's for a beer and to catch the news on their TV. Ended up talking t a couple of real nice guys (Alan and Adam)...Alan was this older guy, a painter for the Seattle School District. We talked about the attack, and private schools. Adam was this guy from New York who was pretty freaked out by the WTC incident. He was pretty sure that his family was ok, but he was concerned about some friends of his, being firefighters and policemen.

I overslept this morning. It wasn't the two alarms I set that got me out of bed - it was the sensation of being crawled upon by a big spider. I didn't see it, but I'm pretty sure that's what I felt on me. Ack.

4,763 reported dead in NYC, 190 in DC as of right now.

Damn, I must be tired.

I just walked into the doorjamb of the exit to the hallway in my office. Walked right into it. Prefectly open doorway right there, and I walk into the frame. What the hell.

(Addendum: I posted this in [livejournal.com profile] wtcdisaster cuz I was using the LJ client to read peoples' posts. I forgot to change it before I posted. Praise be to Danny for catching my dumbassness.)

I'm curious if anyone is rethinking what they said here...

Met up with Brian and Chris at Sit & Spin for beers before going and seeing Apocalypse Now: Redux, which, in my opinion, is best viewed by folks that have seen the original at least a few times, and want some back story.

Got a surprise phone call from the grrrl, on retreat in the Great White North. It was fantastic to hear from her. I probably won't get to talk to her again until she returns next week. I wish she was here now. I miss her very much.

I'm tired on all fronts.

There's a storm over New York City right now. It's raining and hampering the rescue effort even more. These are dark days.

Agh.
