I have my coffee, my water, and 7 more hours to go.

I shaved with a nice new razor this morning. Oh what a feeling.

I love this person a lot. Last night on the phone, she read to me from an 80-some-odd-year-old encyclopedia about the races of man, and we giggled about the more outmoded notions in said text. The whole thing put me at ease for a time. It was a warm and gooshy moment.

Dinner tonight at Kalthoff Manor, courtesy of a short Vietnamese woman who's on the prowl for a bling-blingin' baller. That's none of our friends, so I don't know what the hell she's doing hanging around us...

Coincidence? I think not...

Is it just me, or does "Life And Limb" from The Arguement a) have a vaguely Motown feel (in the drum part, specifically, and with the female backing vocals) - to me it sounds like some sort of Phil Spector thing; and b) does the little "viva viva viva" vocal line bear a striking resemblance to Robyn Hitchcock's "Viva Sea-Tac"?

I may be making connections where there are none, but it just seems weird...

How cool is this: Flesh Crocodile Emperor

Paleontologists said on October 24, 2001 that they discovered the fossilized remains of a gargantuan cousin of modern crocodiles during digs in the Tenere Desert of Niger in north Africa. The skull of 110-million-year-old Sarcosuchus imperator (meaning 'flesh crocodile emperor') dwarfs a 50 cm adult skull of the living Orinoco crocodile (Crocodylus intermedius) in this undated illustration.

A co-pilot of a U.S. Navy S-3B Viking refueling jet plane gives an enthusiastic thumbs-up while wearing a Viking helmet complete with long, blond braided hair October 25, 2001 moments before the plane is catapulted from the deck of the USS Carl Vinson. The USS Carl Vinson is one of several US aircraft carriers flying around-the-clock bombing missions against Taliban targets in Afghanistan.

I'm going to have to come back here after a few more beers.

Thanks Danny.
