My newest culinary adventure:

Quinoa with cooked corn and raw carrots. Added the corn while the quinoa was cooking, and seasoned with coriander and onion. Added some margerine after it was done cooking, and then tossed in the carrots.

Wasn't scrumptious, but completely edible.

I love quinoa! I like to make it and add my own homemade dressing:
Equal parts olive oil, unrefined sugar and fresh lemon juice and tons of minced garlic. You blend it all on the blender for about two minutes and it tastes great on everything.
Sauteed mushrooms go real well with it too.

ooh...that sounds good. I just might try that. Quinoa seems to be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of thing - one (the only, really) cookbook I have actually recommends against eating it, unless you really like it*.

* because of the fat content and the taste.

Quinoa is actually one of the healthiest things you can eat because it's packed with iron, protein, fiber and niacin among other good things. As for the fat content, it's actually not THAT high and it's the good kind of fat anyway.
