In the presence of greatness...

So a quick recap of events of theis weekend thusfar:

Friday: Worked. It sucked. My boss is trying to get me a raise, though. Muy bueno. Went to see Sugar & Spice with Anna. It was...um...it had a few chuckles in it. From there we went to Gordon Biersch for a nightcap. We walk into the bar, and lo and behold, who is sitting at the table next to us, other than a certain former accuaintance of ours and his newly-hair-extentioned-not-quite-old-enough-to-be-in-a-bar- girlfriend who we haven't spoken to since a certain epic proportioned blowout happened at a birthday party a few months ago. We only stuck around for one drink. I had a feeling that if we stayed for more, either Anna or I (most likely me...actually, Anna) would get belligerent and start breaking things. Or people.

(Let me add something: I'm not the grudge-holding type. People have severly fucked me over in the past and I let it slide. This is an exception. This, I will not let slide. I'm still pissed.)

Anyway, I've wasted enough space on people who are not worth wasting space on. We went home and I slept sooo well.

Saw Death Cab For Cutie tonight at the Showbox. Their performance was uneven, as were the other times I've seen them live. T'was still good though. From there, we went up to Gordon Biersch (again) and got food. Then on to Sapphire. We sat at the bar. After awhile, two other people sat at the bar next to us. One of them was Shawn Smith, late of Satchel and Brad, currently (I think) of Pigeonhed, with Steve Fisk. And did I say anything to him? Did I tell him how huge an influence his bands were on my old band? Did I mention that before and after band practice, we'd drive around in George's car listening to EDC and Shame and The Family and Interiors all the time?

Of course not. I was tired and barely able to communicate to myself, much less anyone else.

So we left. And now I'm home. And quite tired. And kicking myself. Well, not kicking, exactly. More like playing footsie angrily.

Good f'n' night.

What exactly are you so pissed about?
