I don't know how long this not smoking thing is going to last.

I've only been at work for about 40 minutes. Things that normally wouldn't irk me have seriously irked me. I souldn't be this crabby yet. I've skipped the usual morning music and gone straight for the loud noisy stuff. And my head hurts.

I'm in a bad mood.

Was in a good mood. Now I'm in a bad mood.

Things that are pissing me off that nomally wouldn't piss me off that much

1) The person on the 4th floor that keeps staling our coffee pot
2) Not being able to get this fucking 10-key to work right
3) That there isn't any fucking sugar for the coffee
4) My apparent inablility to spell this morning
5) That I'm being a pissy jerkface to everyone

In other news: I just realized that Ol' Dirty Bastard and the post-Ultramagnetic MCs Kool Keith owe their entire careers to Flavor Flav. And maybe to Biz Markie, to a lesser degree.

OK. 61 hours without a cigarette is pretty good.

I've re-evaluated my game plan. I'm not going cold turkey, because thus far, flat out not allowing myself to smoke has proved to be more distracting than anything. My new plan is to just not buy any. If I don't have one handy, I just won't do it. Start small, don't freak.

I feel better now.

Status report

Still hangin' in there. I've been drinking a ton of coffee. My lunch tasted really good today - maybe just cuz I was really hungry, or maybe because I'm starting to get my tastebuds back.

Just got a call from Dave - tonight, we will attempt the rock action again. Friday's attempt at rock went well, even if we didn't work on too much new stuff, and in large part was spent rehashing old Six Day Affair songs in an acoustic stylee. We were both surprised at how much of the old stuff we remembered, and that I knew the guitar parts to those songs.

I really need to get a proper guitar amp. The little practice amp ain't gonna do it for much longer, and playing guitar through my bass amp sucks.

I feel the need - the need to RAWK.
