Went to Zak's with Dave & Kaz to see System & Station. Dave saw these guys at some club in Knoxville TN a few years back, and he begged me to go see them tonight, the first date of their tour. I agreed, and I'm glad I did. These cats kicked arse. They were sorta mathy, sorta spacy...kind of like an emo-riffic child spawned at an orgy starring Tortoise, Unwound, and Sky Cries Mary. Too bad the only people there to see them were the three of us, and the other band playing that was playing, and a few other folks.

Anyhow, they play the Satyricon in Portland tomorrow night, and I'd ask all you PDX folks go check them out, and buy a t-shirt or a CD so they can eat.

And here's the funny thing: the other guitar player in my band and the bass player from System & Station have the exact same name. Creepy, ain't it?

I've spent the better part of the day throwing stuff away, and rearranging things, to the tune of weepy emo-ish bands (Sunny Day, Cursive, Karate, etc.).

Still have to tackle the rest of the apartment. Dat's cool though.

Let's hear it for progress.
