Last night's viewing of Hard Boiled was marred by the presence of dubbed dialog, apparently invented for illiterates or people too lazy to read, or unable to relate because it's too foreign and they need American-sounding dialog to relate. Granted, I should be on the ball as far as checking these things out before renting a film, but when a video store only has one copy of something, I assume that by default they would carry the subtitled (and thus superior) version of the film.</rant>
