Merry xmas eve.

Today is the 20th anniversary of my mom's death. I don't really have any special plans to commemorate it. We're going to Cait's mom and stepdad's this evening. I am happy and fortunate to have parental figures again. Cait's folks seem to enjoy having me around. They're sort of like a combination of in-laws and grandparents (they make me feel spoiled like I imagine grandparents might). There's no home for me to go home to, so when I go to theirs, it makes me feel a little less like an orphan.

I hope everyone has a joyful holiday, with whoever your family is.
