Are you implying that I've been toying with the shlong?
(Also: thank you for the song. Oh how I do love both Blonde Redhead and Serge... Unrelated, if you're not familiar, you really ought to go punish yourself by downloading the song I just posted a link to... Ooof. Worst Song Ever.)
And do you agree at all? As much as I really really love Blonde Redhead....listening to nothing *but* them still feels a bit like being smothered to death by birthday cake...
Are you implying that I've been toying with the shlong?
I imply nothing. Simply a forewarning is all. In any event, I'm sure the shlong would work fine in your capable hands.
RE: BlndRdhd: I can stand a pretty big dose of them, but I can see where you're coming from. In An Expression of the Inexpressible was good for repeated listenings, as was La Mia Vita Violenta. I suppose everyone's got a different threshold for screeching Engrish vocals :)
And before I listen to the song you posted, I think I know what it is. It's that fucking song with the little kid talking on it, right? It was a novelty club hit a couple of years ago, right? And you have this in your collection somewhere?
Seriously. I was like "Wow! Best band ever!" when I stumbled across them. But too much was enough. ;)
As for the song...yeah, you've got it right. ;) I actually just downloaded it for the sole purpose of sharing the pain joy with two of my friends who claimed to have never heard it before.
In An Expression... got me through most of 97 at the Monkey House. Just thinking of Vern rocking the fuck out in that studio was a bass player hard on, no?
Mos def. Were you still in Seattle for any of Unwound's last shows? The one w/BH at the Showbox? (I think it was with BH). I was always hoping that Vern would come out and play with them live.
