I turned 4 in 1980

2. How old were you in 1989?

3. Were you a Toys R' Us kid?
On occasion. I loved going there, but I don't think my folks were too hip on it.

4. Did you watch Transformers?
Religiously. I saw the animated film in the theatre. It was pretty awful, but I loved it. I bought it on DVD a few years ago, and it's still awful.

5. Did you see E.T. on the big screen?
Yes. I think my sisters took me. I think the part with the hazmat suits scared me.

6. Did you own a Lite-Brite?
I think my sisters did. It was missing a lot of the pegs.

7. Who is your favorite Golden Girl?
Did I have a favorite? I don't know. I remember Rue McLanahan vaguely creeping me out.

8. When someone says "Who you gonna call?," you think?
Your mom. Ghostbusters.

9.What was your favorite toy?
Hmm...I had a lot of Transformers that I was fond of. And Star Wars figures. And Legos! I loved (and still do love) Legos. Seriously. I will waste hours now making shit out of Legos.

10. Did you have a Pogo Ball?
No.

11. Did you listen to New Kids on the Block?
I can't think of a band I loathed more in the 1980s, save for maybe Duran Duran (a band I like now).

12. What New Kid did you have a crush on?
No. Not a girl.

13. Did you play M.A.S.H?
I thought this said "Did you watch M.A.S.H.". I did. The game is that thing with the paper thingy with the different stuff written inside, right? Yeah, I'm not a girl.

14. Did you watch The Care Bears?
NO! Not a girl.

15. Did you have Jelly bracelets?
Yes! I think I had a lot of them. I wear black ones now. How come there's no Swatch question on this thing?

16. Did you ever own a slap bracelet?
No. I don't even remember these things from that era.

17. The Breakfast Club or Sixteen Candles?
The Breakfast Club. I think I was in my 20s before I saw Sixteen Candles.

18. Did you have a crazy hair style?
No, unless you count bowl cuts and crew cuts. I'd like to take this opportunity to state that I have never had a mullet.

19. What was your first bike?
A mother fucking Schwinn Stingray. It ruled. I think it, and every subsequent bike I ever owned, got stolen.

20. Name one thing you still own from your childhood?
The piggy bank (really more of an egg shape) I got when I was born. I use it to this day.

21. Did you have a Cabbage Patch Kid?
Please refer to questions 12 and 14.

22. Rainbow Brite or Strawberry Shortcake?
See above. I remember Strawberry Shortcake smelling like Pez, though.

23. Did you watch Miami Vice?
Yes. My mom was not fond of me watching it, but I didn't really understand what was going on.

24. Did you own a Trapper Keeper?
I had one or two secondhand Trapper Keepers. Later I got into the binder with the clear overlay on the outside, where you could put whatever you wanted in them.

25. Atari or Nintendo?
I think we had an Atari system, but I remember playing the NES a lot more.

26. Did you play Pac-Man?
On occasion. I never liked it much.

27. Which was better: Jem and The Holograms or Barbie and The Rockers?
Barbie and The Rockers? Psssht. Jem, all the way.

28. He-Man or She-Ra?
He-Man.

29. What movie scared you the most?
Poltergeist was pretty freaky.

30. Did you try to dance like Michael Jackson?
Sadly, yes.

31. What Is The First Thing That Comes To Mind When You Hear "flux copassitor"
Why Is This All Capitalized? And it is "flux capacitor". And it makes me think of DeLoreans.

32. What other colors did Pepsi come in?
Clear.

33. Roger Rabbit Or Howard The Duck?
Roger Rabbit. The movie had the chick with the big boobs in it. Howard the Duck had...Lea Thompson.

34. Did you ever beg your parents to have your school picture taken with the 'laser' background?
No. That's not to say that I didn't have some horrible backgrounds for school pictures.

35. Do you know what the Ninja Rap is?
I am aware of its existence. I've never personally heard it.

36. Do you know why people cringe when they hear the word BUCKNER?
I do now, but I didn't really care about baseball at the time.

37. Can you name the family members from National Lampoon's Vacation movies?
No. I never really got into that movie.

38. Did you have Pump sneakers?
No. My folks wouldn't spring for $70.00 sneakers.

39. Did you own Hypercolor shirts?
Nope.

40. Did you watch Smurfs?
Yes, sadly.
