What's up. I'm chilling at home, drinking a Black Russian, and listening to some crazy Hungarian folk music. Went to Sapphire with the grrrlfriend tonight. We got into a conversation with the bartender about organ regeneration and the human genome project and things of that ilk.

I haven't decided which I find more bothersome: drunken yuppies or drunken white trash.

In other "news": I'm supposed to go see Traffic with Brian tomorrow, and then consume some brewskis afterward. This is dependent on whether or not he is over his current illness. If we do not partake in this activity, I fear that I will sit in my apartment all day and do nothing but watch tv, play my guitar like it was 1984, and surf the 'Net until my computer dies. Which is pretty much what I did today. I did make a field trip up to B'way to get food, and then stopped at Bauhaus for some coffee. Couldn't get a table inside for nothin', so i didn't stick around too long.

Has anyone else noticed that cigarettes actually taste like shit? And that they make your clothes smell really gross? And that despite the fact that most of us have been smoking for 8, 10, 12, 15 years, we still keep doing it?

Wow. That makes me want one.

Smoke up, Johnny.

I thought it might have been the girl too, but I dunno. And no, I didn't burn it, like I had planned. I disposed of it in a more traditional manner - I put it back where I found it.

Next time I'm sleep dep'ed, I'll be sure to call you (at 4 am).

you can do it ON THE BOAT!

traffic is most definitely the longest and most boring movie i have seen to date.

yeah, i also noticed that bit about cigarettes tasting like shit. that's how i felt about marlboro's, then i switched to benson and hedges, they taste lovely. i get a lot of lame comments for smoking them, but it's worth it.

i hate the smell of smoke. i found that when i quit, i could get away with wearing the same shirt twice a week cos it didn't reek of smoke.

i'll quit soon, yeah.

Well, I'll still risk it. I'm not averse to loooong movies...hell, I sat through all 3 hours of JFK, (watching everyone, in every scene, smoke), without nic'ing out too bad.

I guess you can get away with smelling like smoke if you just suround yourself with people who smoke too. Then no one will notice!
