Happy f**king Friday

I slept like a wee little baby last night...it might have been due to the food coma I went into after gorging myself on pizza, beer, and an ice cream sammich (not all together, thank you), with kam & bizetsy. I even woke up on time today! That's a first. We watched the eMpTyV Moobie Aweirds [sic] last night. No surprises, really...a lot of it was pretty dumb. It is MTV, after all. Highlights: Lil Kim's "outfit"; Zhang Ziyi holding a sword to David Spade's throat...I wish she would have , er, slipped. Sayonara Joe Dirt. Um, Weezer's performance was entertaining, resplendent in the finest in butt rock stage decorations (rock pillars, dry ice fog, a flaming "W", amidst other pyrotechnics). Snoop Dogg's performance as the dirgible captain in their The Mummy Returns spoof was pretty funny too.

It's Friday.

Was it just me, or was there NO class at the awards last night. The grease on the pizza had more poise than everyone there. It was so trashy, inarticulate, and pointless...this show used to have better music and amusing moments.

Well, at least we all got to hang out. That was the important part anyway, eh?

Cameron Diaz's whole drunken presence inspired a fury within me the likes of which I've not known for quite some time, and the American Pie girls made me feel like I was watching a sixth grade skit. No one was dressed well (except Samuel L., of course, 'cause he's the baddest mothafucka in the land), and seems no one knows how to give a classy acceptance speech anymore either.

Can you tell I was disappointed?
