Wowza. I'm tired. I feel much better now. However, my usual LiveJournaling wit has escaped me. therefore I will try again in the morning.

Geez...LiveJournal has been pissy this morning. Anyway, I am currently enjoying the first coffee I've had since Wednedsay afternoon. Lemme tell ya, it's damn good. My sickness and subsequent body aches have subsided fully. I'm back to my normal self, I think. I managed to eat yesterday, which was good. I've consumed all the goodies Stacy brought me on Friday. I should eat more banannas. Actually, I should eat more fruit and veggies in general. My diet is shite anyway. If I can't boil it or fry it or buy it pre-made, I'm usually not eating it. No wonder this recent sickness fucked me up so bad. I felt like I got punched in the stomach, and had all the muscles in my back and ribcage pulled tight. Anyway, enough bitching. I need to go get a haircut today. It's sunny out right now, so I should go take advantage of it and get outside. I think I might go blow some cash at Cellophane Square, although the one on Broadway sorta sucks. I'm on a French pop kick right now. I want to find some Jaques Brel, maybe some Edith Piaf. Maybe I should go back to school and take French again. I took it in high school, but in two years, all I learned was how to insult peoples' mothers. My accent sucked. Anna can actually say some stuff en Francais and make it sound, well...French. Not I, said the fly. I sound too much like un Americain.

Don't ask about the subject...I was trying to come up with some faux-Dungeons & Dragons/C Average type title...it didn't work.

Went up to the Six Arms for a nutritious lunch (a Boca burger and a bottle of Lucky Lager), then got my hair cut. It's...er..different. Actually, it's like it was about a year ago (sorta spiky). After that, I went up to Cell Square and Disc Go Round (which isn't Disc Go Round anymore, but I can't remember what the new name is) and purchased new muzeek, some of which is old stuff that I never got around to buying, or stuff I've never heard but thought I might like:

Ensemble Nipponi - Japan ~ Traditional Vocal & Instrumental Music
Hot Water Music - Fuel For The Hate Game: I've noticed that Stacy seems to be listening to these folks pretty often...figgerd what the hey...
Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine: Lemme put this in perspective - the first time I heard "Down In It" was on MTV's 120 Minutes when I was in the 8th grade. If that doesn't date me, I dunno what does.
Polecat - High Pressure System: Local, sorta emo/not-quite-hardcore stuff. In fact, a lot more emo than I remember from seeing them live.
The Smashing Pumpkins - Adore: $4.99, folks. Whether or not you realize it, they were a Chicago band, hence Brad Wood being all over this record. I'm still waiting for Billy Corgan to start a supergroup with Steve Albini and Al Jourgensen...they could call themselves The Uptight Frontmen of Chicago Ensemble. Hey - it's an idea.
The Twilight Singers - Twilight As Played by The Twilight Singers: Say goodnight, Mr. Dulli.
various - Natural Born Killers sdtrk.
various - Rawkus presents Soundbombing II

Didn't find any French pop, tho'.

Now I'm home. John Zorn is playing at Benaroya Hall tonight. Why am I not there? Cuz I spaced and didn't get tickets in time, cuz I'm a lazy ass and waited till after the frickin box office was closed. I suppose I could have just sauntered down there and tried to get in anyway, but I didn't. I have only myself to blame. I suck.

...cribbed from Discorder, "that magazine from CiTR 101.9 FM" in scenic Vancouver, British Columbia...

from an interview with Silkworm:

Discorder: Who is "Motorhead" and why is he "coming for you"?

Andy Cohen: Motorhead is the speed freak who lives down the street from whomever he lives down the street from. Motorhead dosen't need a reason to "come for you."

Discorder: Tim and Michael are very active in updating the SKWM website. You rarely write anything for it. Why not?

AC: That's because I don't really exist. The Motorhead came for me a long time ago, and now Tim and Michael pick up the slack.

Discorder: Mr. John Lee of Seam has stated that you are in a band with him called Mirror America. Please divulge some details on this project.

AC: The band is actually called Yellow Stallion in honour of John Lee's awesome virility. This name change was not my idea, but now that it has been put forth, I'm all for it.
