The Doors vs. The Sun City Girls

So I'm listening to The Doors soundtrack, and the song "Ghost Song"* has a line in it about "their fragile eggshell minds". That same line was used as the title of a song and the refrain on a track from the Sun City Girls' Dante's Disneyland Inferno record. At least now I know who they cribbed it from.
I like making connections in random places.
* I'm assuming that song is from An American Prayer, which I've never actually listened to - my brother, who is a big Doors fan, warned me away from Jim Morrison's "Fat Elvis" period.

Date: 2001-08-17 08:45 pm (UTC)I liked LA Woman, but I probably prefer their first 2 records above all. The Fat Jim stuff on this soundtrack sounds vaguely disco, what with the slap bass lines and the newfangled synthesizers replacing the electric pianos...I'll have to listen to An American Prayer...maybe my brother will lend it to me.
