I have some exquisitely painful razor burn on my neck right now. I mean, really. The image that comes to mind is the cover art of Weasels Ripped My Flesh. That doesn't really represent what it looks like, but it feels about as good as that looks.
So here's my question:
How do you prevent razor burn?
So here's my question:

Date: 2001-10-23 11:14 am (UTC)I used to get bad razor burn, or it would cause ingrown hairs.
Here is my ritual that prevents it:
1) Shaving in the shower - Using a fogless mirror. A BIG help
2) I used to shave against the grain, now I dont. The second I stopped doing this, all the razor burn/ingrown hairs went away.
3) Change your razor every week?

2) I used to shave against the grain too. Not doing that did help a lot.
3) I use Mach 3s...they're too expensive to change every week! :) I paid $15.00 for 8 yesterday...

What kind of shaving cream do you use?
