i will make this suggestion, because i have many years of filling out the same FASFA forms every year since i graduated high school in 1995:
be sure to keep a copy of all your paperwork in a file or folder of some sort...
we both have last names which, for some unknown reason, people cannot figure out how to properly file. mine is st.clair...it has been filed under both ST and SA. many times. and they can't find my file in the financial aid office. and after the fifth time it happened, i caught on to the idea that i should keep a copy also.
so you might find that some idiot or another has filed all your paperwork under "o" or "b". and you, too, will be very angry.
