p0tat0esTweedle-B and Tweedle-V have certainly made a yerba maté convert out of me (ignore the fact I'm drinking coffee right now).
Ya see, last night kinda sucked donkey balls, but I was so stoned* on maté that it didn't bother me till I woke up this morning and felt the world collapsing around me.
Yes, I'm being melodramatic. But it is an odd sensation waking up feeling like you're a little hungover even though you drank no alcohol the night before.
MC Paul Barman has a very similar effect to maté. Everything is just aaaaallllll riiiiiight.
*This is a reference to Russ Meyer's Vixen, btw. It's not like being stoned. At all.
