I'm taking the Folgers challenge.

I challenge Folgers to make coffee that doesn't taste like hot dog water.
So, hey, non-Seattleites: we have our coffee. We have it available where ever we go. The thing about there being an espresso stand on every corner? It's not much of an exaggeration - there are 52 different Starbucks locations within two miles of where I'm sitting right now (I looked it up on their website). Starbucks is the McDonalds of coffee - over 654 Gazillion served gallons of burnt tasting muck, but you can get that muck anywhere, and it tastes the same everywhere - that's the magic of franchises. Luckily, here we have lots of other options besides McCoffee, but I know other places are sorely lacking. Or people just don't give a shit about it.
Anyway, here's my question: Is there something that's just ripe to be commodified and exploited in your neck of the woods? Or something that already has?

I'll be the first one to admit that by the time I'm done with it, it's not really coffee anymore. But I swear to you, the quality of the beans and the barista make a huge difference.
And yeah, coffee out here tastes like dog ass.
