p0tat0es: (damn dirty Outlook)

The TIG Imaginary Wedding thinger last night was a hoot. Supposedly all of the ASOW boys were on the list. Turns out only Sean was on the list - but he was too hungover to go, so I pretended to be him and got in for free anyway. [livejournal.com profile] veganguy and his chica and Frida all came too. And as an added bonus, original ASOW bassist Larry & his lady Tiffany were in the house. I caught the last song by Math and Physics Club, who seemed...I dunno. It was a cover, so I have no idea what they actually sound like. I somehow managed to miss Pleasurecraft, which is too bad, 'cuz they were awesome at the Guns N' Roses tribute night a while back. The Jeunes were awesome, and I think they and Key Note would play nicely together. And their bass player was hot in a tall, intimidating librarian sort of way. They were all tall. Weird. We didn't last for Tennis Pro, but KNS is playing with them in a few weeks, so we'll make up for it then.

I'm at work today to make a little extra cash, but it's so nice outside, I think I'm going to leave early. Oh, and I got here two hours later than normal. Slack attack!!

No shit, I almost went! But ikea had sucked out my life force, so I watched some uber-violent Anime instead before deciding I'm not a fan of uber-violent anime. Do you know Dana (TIG bride), then?

I've met her a couple of times...TIG have been big School of Warsaw supporters (and Key Note for that matter). She was pretty wasted toward the end of the evening, but it seemed like she was having a blast. Damn that Ikea. Are the two of you aquainted?

Oh, and what über-violent anime was it. I'm not actually a big fan of anime. Color me curious.

She's a friend of a friend. But I do believe that Ms. Weissman knows just about everyone.

Ghost in the Shell. Apparently, it's not so violent compared to other anime. I'm a big woos pacifist.

Agreed. I'm guessing she's not much of an introvert.

Ghost In The Shell made precicely zero sense to me. Supposedly it makes more sense on repeated viewings, but I dunno if I buy that.

Yah - It was a total mystery to me, too. My bf & his brother seemed to understand it (something about watching part one first), but I just couldn't get the transitions from scene to scene.

It was cool how they spoke in metaphors, though. (a bird does not pick at raw fruit, mr. cop-san. mwaaaahhhhaaaahaaaa)
