okay, i never really knew anything about the guy, and i'm not even a big Silkworm fan...i have one album, i don't listen to it much, i like it okay...but that letter's making me cry...i know it's really easy to set me off when i'm severely lacking sleep (as i am now), but still...
I just found out about this last Tuesday, when I decided to check out the Silkworm website just by chance. I wasn't even expecting to read any news. It was so shocking. I just saw them for the first time in years when they played in Seattle earlier this year. I feel like sending hate mail to that girl's house or something. I hope she dies in prison. She's obviously not a very good person to begin with if she would chose that way to kill herself. I teared up when I read that letter.
I can't believe Silkworm is never going to make any more records or play another show. I thought they'd last forever.
I just hope she gets what's due. I don't feel maliciously toward her, but I certainly have no sympathy either.
They we're definitely cruising for 'forever' status - 15 years with the core three members is an accomplishment within itself. I'm sad that I'll never get to see them play again, and I regret not seeing them more when they still were in Seattle.
