i'm not entirely sure that General Tso's Chicken isn't an American creation, like fortune cookies and so very many others--sorta like what we did to Mexican food, only with Chinese this time. in various joints in the States i've had several different 'So-and-so's Chicken' dishes. Mao Zedong's Chicken was the best in my opinion, but that's really beside the point.

however, being as i am in the heart of the motherland, and the ideal place to find out the answer to this mystery, i will contact my sources and ask around.
