Christmas Eve

p0tat0esWell, I made it through today with nary a tear shed. I went to my sister Eileen's place up in Everett tonight with Katie (another sister) and her husband Andy. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. My 6-year old nephew kicked my ass at Ready 2 Rumble (as he always does). We ate food, drank wine/beer/likker/coffee (not in that order) and hung out. The events of ten years past inevitably came up, but that part of it was relatively lighthearted. However, there was much discussion of the curren state of affairs between certain members of our family that are not going too well. Tomorrow at my dad & stepmother's place should prove to be...er, interesting.
Note to self: Nod head and smile.
Anyhow, it was really good to be around at least a few of my sibs. Katie and Andy live in Brooklyn NY so I don't get to see them too often. Plus I like hanging out with the kids, although my nephew felt compelled to attempt to explain the inner workings of the Pokemon universe to me. I tried to, but could not understand what the hell he was talking about. His dad helped clear things up for me. Now I can be a Pokemon master too! Um...well, maybe not.
I am quite tired and now must drift off to sleep. Good night.
