Jun. 6th, 2006 10:54 amI think I'm set for today. I got me some Iron Maiden, some Slayer, and the Gummo soundtrack.
It's weird. There's almost a holiday-like atmosphere around today. I guess it's not any more or less significant a date than any other date of "note". It doesn't have quite the commercial cache that Christmas or Easter does, probably because it only happens once a century. Besides, it's 6/6/2006, not June 6, 6 AD. The "Anno Domine" part kinda kills the Satan-y aspect of the year anyway. (OK, I guess we could use CE. Whatevs.)
The Goths have not yet attacked. Neither have the Lombards, Burgundians, or Vandals. I'd keep an eye on those Scyths though. They're a wily bunch.
Also: this page is hysterical.
