p0tat0es First things first: I wrote a long-winded screed about album art (or the lack thereof) on my music blog, Detritus of the Night. Go here to read, leave comments, death threats, whatever.
Next: a couple of Rock Lottery participants have some cool events going on tonight.
A Big Black cover night! In Georgetown, where Big Black's final show ever was (save for their brief 4-song set at the Touch & Go festival last year). Levi Fuller and Erin Jorgensen both kicked ass at Rock Lottery (in Mantastic. and The Most Popular Girl In School, respectively). ASOW homies The Greenriver Thrillers are also on the bill (I've heard them bust out a killer Shellac cover from time to time). This should be pretty sweet.
Also on Saturday, Katarina Tunicata (of the Federline Conspiracy) is appearing at SS Marie Antoinette, along with Family Underground, Fursaxa, and Dull Knife. Sadly, I couldn't find a cool poster for this one.
