An issue of The Rocket from exactly 10 years ago.

NOFX was coming to town.

Modest Mouse had the number one record in the Northwest.

Sorry the pics are so blurry. I think the list goes as such:

  1. Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West

  2. Everclear -

  3. Sarah MacLachlan -

  4. Elliott Smith -

  5. Unwound - Challenge For A Civilized Society

  6. Built To Spill - Perfect From Now On

  7. Sleater-Kinney - Dig Me Out

  8. Foo Fighters - The Colour And The Shape

  9. Soundgarden - A-Sides

  10. Ken Stringfellow -

  11. Murder City Devils - Murder City Devils

  12. Silkworm - Even A Blind Chicken Finds A Kernel Of Corn Now And Then

  13. Pure Joy -

  14. Harvey Danger - Where Have All The Merrymakers Gone?

  15. ?

  16. Calobo -

  17. Cherry Poppin' Daddies - Zoot Suit Riot

  18. Nightcaps -

  19. 764-Hero -

  20. ?

I don't have it on hand to fill in the missing info.

Neat, huh?

Nah, I just happened to have it with me cuz I was gonna try to take pictures of it, and ended up using the photobooth instead.

I actually have several years worth of Rockets in a box at home. I want someone to give me money so I can get started on my archiving project for them.

I used to have every issue of the Stranger from issue #2 through sometime in 2001. I had to get rid of most of them during one of my many moves. I need my own library!

That Everclear album is definitely So Much For the Afterglow, Elliott Smith was maybe Either/Or?, Ken Stringfellow maybe This Sounds Like Goodbye.

And my brain is clearly full of way too much crap.

I can't remember my own phone number half the time, but albums from late 1997? Those I remember.

No shit. Funny enough, Modest Mouse currently has the #1 record in the NW, and NOFX is coming to town...

That song - hell, the whole genre - is shudder-inducing.

This is the only Zoot I'm inclined to like:
