p0tat0esI've just spent the last hour reading my friends list cuz I haven't checked it in a week. Now I'm all caught up. I thought I was going to be going over to my dad's place today for a lil' BBQ & beer drinkin', but I called him and he apparently wasn't home. Tomorrow, or perhaps next weekend? We shall see.
I finished reading a biography of Anne Frank today. I finished reading Diary Of A Young Girl on Wednedsday. The biography helped fill in a lot of the missing pieces. It also left me feeling a bit down. Duh - it's not like the Holocaust is terribly bright & cheery subject matter. The whole thing is incomprehensible to me. Ah, hell, I'm not going to go into it right now.
I left the house to come up here to Broadway, and my mood was instantly lightened by our friends at KEXP, who, as I put on my headphones, were playing Eric B. & Rakim's "I Know You Got Soul" - instant smile on my face. Nothing like having the greatest MC ever there to cheer you up.
Went with Chris & Michaela & Rachel to the Peoples' Pub in Ballard last night, where I ran into the bf of a friend of Anna's. We chatted for a little bit...good to see he's doing well.
Now I have to decide what I'm going to do with the rest of my day.
