Would it be redundant to italicize the word 'emphatically'? Ya know, to, like, put emphasis on it?

I ask because I was rereading an email I sent to my boss where I did just that. And now it is going to haunt me forever and ever.

I'm guessing he didn't use quotes in the e-mail, just in the post--which is correct. :) But italics, yeah, that's probably redundant, but most folks wouldn't care.
